I just wanted to express how sad and sorry I am that accomplished writer Taslima is driven out of India. In telugu there is a saying "pommanaleka pogabettaaru ani" It means they can't directly tell someone to get lost instead they make sure the life is miserable so that voluntarily they leave! Indian Administration has made Taslima's life so miserable that she had to leave the country. I now do not really understand what kind of Democracy we have in India. Where are all those lofty values such as Freedom of Speech and right to life are gone?! where are the protections to vulnarable people offered by Indian constitution?! Sending away Taslima in such a way doesn't serve the purpose of India.
Taslima, we are sorry this has happened to you. I only wish may you find a good place on this God given earth where you are free write what ever you want to write. All the best!
